Michael Crouser, Mountain Ranch

Thursday, October 12, 2017, 6 p.m., Dryden Theatre

Photographer Michael Crouser’s new book Mountain Ranch focuses on the disappearing world of cattle ranching in the mountains of Colorado. Over the course of ten years, Crouser photographed nine ranching families in northwest Colorado, concentrating on the traditional elements of the families’ lives, including eight first-person narratives by elderly ranchers in the region. In 2014, Crouser was awarded the George Eastman Power of the Image Award in Beijing, China.

Part of the Wish You Were Here photography lecture series.

Generously sponsored by museum member Dr. Thomas N. Tischer.
